Renders & API

API

Render any post from your own code

1
Open a post
Any post from Creation or Studio opens in the editor.
2
Name the layers to change
In the editor’s API tab, give a text or image layer an API key, such as headline.
3
Send new values
POST the post id with a value for each key. Carousels take keys per slide: _top, _1, _2… _bottom.

POST /api/render

curl -X POST /api/render \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"canva_id": "<post id>",
       "data": {"headline": "New text"}}'

Returns

{
  "url": "/api/rendered/<id>",
  "render_id": "<id>",
  "type": "single"
}

A single post returns a PNG link; a carousel returns a ZIP with one PNG per slide.
